About this Recipe



  • 8 onces– Sausage (I like Jimmy Dean Hot)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheese (I use coby Jack – you can use any kind of cheese you want)
  • 2 tbsp  of melted butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Milk (We use skim milk)
  • 1/2 cup of All purpose flour
  • 1 tsp of salt


Step 1

 Preheat Oven to 375 Degrees

Step 2

Brown and finely chop the sausage and drain the excess grease

Step 3

Spray a pyrex pie pan then place the drained sausage on the bottom

Step 4

Add the Shredded cheese on top

Step 5

 In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and salt together

Step 6

Sift the flour into the mixing bowl and whisk until well blended eliminating most of the flour clumps

Step 7

Whisk in butter

Step 8

 Pour the mixture over the sausage and cheese mixture

Step 9

 Bake for 45 minutes or until the center is fully cooked (When you can cleaning stick in and pull out a butter knife)

Step 10

 Allow to rest for 10 minutes before cutting


Tastes great as leftovers

You can use bacon or ham instead of sausage

We often use leftover spiral ham from the holidays or from the freezer.
